I am a glaciologist and assistant professor of Geography at the University of Oregon. My research focuses on interactions between ice and climate across scales, ranging from mountain glaciers in the Pacific Northwest and other alpine regions, to the great ice sheets of Greenland and Antarctica. Check out the research and publications tabs for more info on my past and ongoing projects.

I’m recruiting! See the “opportunities” tab for more info.

Prior to joining the University of Oregon, I conducted postdoctoral research at Georgia Tech’s School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences, and the University of Texas Institute for Geophysics. I completed my PhD in Earth and Space Sciences at University of Washington, and before that, studied physics at St. Olaf College.

I grew up on Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, and learned a lot about the Earth System there, too.
